If you bring couples to Italy, you already know the hardest part is not the design. It is the distance.
You can’t walk a street in Modica at 6 pm to see where the light falls. You can’t ask a church office a question in person. And when a supplier stops answering on a Friday, you are three time zones away.
That is where I come in. I’m Laura, and since 2006 I have been organising weddings in south-eastern Sicily, in the Val di Noto: Noto, Modica, Ragusa and Scicli. I work as the local partner for planners and agencies abroad.
Here is what that means in practice.
Venues and permits. I propose locations that fit the guest list and the style, and I deal with the paperwork on the Italian side.
Suppliers. Florists, caterers, musicians, photographers, transport. I know who answers the phone and who doesn’t.
Site visits and updates. I visit for you, send photos and video, and write down the details you would have noticed yourself.
Language and tone. I write and speak English every day with international clients, and I keep you in the loop on every decision.
And here is what I don’t do: I don’t take your client. The couple is yours. I stay in the background, or in the foreground, exactly as you decide.
If you have a couple considering Sicily and want an honest opinion before you commit, write to me. I’m happy to say when a place is not the right fit.
