Your wedding by the sea, among golden dunes, cliffs and Mediterranean sunsets
Fiocchidiriso designs tailor-made weddings along the coast of south-eastern Sicily since 2006. Say yes I do with the sound of the waves as your soundtrack, from the ceremony to the reception.
Why get married by the sea
The coast of south-eastern Sicily alternates jagged cliffs, golden sand dunes and secluded coves: Pozzallo, Marina di Modica, Sampieri, Cava d’Aliga, Donnalucata and Marina di Ragusa are just some of the settings we offer couples dreaming of a wedding with nothing but the sea as their backdrop. Exchanging vows with the sound of the waves is an experience your guests — especially those visiting from abroad — will never forget.
Among our most memorable beach weddings is the ceremony at Castello di Falconara, with floral arrangements set directly on the sand and the couple exchanging their vows facing the open horizon. With Fiocchidiriso you have a local wedding planner who knows the coast’s venues, permits and vendors, so all you have to enjoy is the beautiful part: your day.
A tailor-made wedding, from start to finish
Venues
Equipped public beaches, seafront estates such as Castello di Falconara, terraces perched on the cliffs: we select the venue that tells your story, not one pulled from a catalogue.
Ceremony, sorted
We guide you through choosing between council-authorised public beaches for a civil ceremony and private venues with all the required permits, or organising a symbolic ceremony right on the sand.
Trusted vendors
Photographers, Sicilian and Mediterranean catering, wind- and salt-resistant flowers, music: a team built over nearly twenty years of weddings along the coast, coordinated by us from start to finish.
Styling and backup plan
A beach wedding needs extra care: wind, tides, sunset timing, guest accessibility. We take care of it all, always with a backup plan ready in case the weather turns.
“A couple from London describe how Laura made their wedding in Sicily feel calm and thoughtfully handled down to every detail, staying a positive presence even in the most stressful moments.”
Frequently asked questions
Do we need a permit to get married on a public beach?
Yes, civil ceremonies on the beach can only take place in areas designated as “free locations” by the relevant municipality, or in already-authorised private venues. We help you check the available options and handle all the paperwork.
What if it’s windy or the weather turns on the day?
We always prepare a backup plan with an alternative sheltered or indoor venue, and choose flowers and styling designed to withstand wind and sea spray, keeping the risk to a minimum.
What’s the best time for the ceremony?
Late afternoon, with a sunset ceremony, is the most requested slot: the light is softer, temperatures more pleasant, and the sight of the sun setting over the sea is unmatched.
Do you speak English for couples getting married from abroad?
Yes, we support Italian and international couples alike, in both Italian and English, from the first consultation through to the wedding day.
